Some spaceship names I rolled:
* The Playful Pressure Vessel
* Hornblower's Divine Misfortune
* The Replacement Non Fungible Constant
* The Queen Anne's Poorly Maintained Misuse of Funds
* Ghost of the Ultraviolet Refrains
* The Devil's Own Wandering Regret
I am posting this as more of a placeholder/reminder for me.
I just learned that there is a Cairn RPG-based hack to play Mothership RPG style games called Meteor.
It hasn't been updated in a while. I can see that there is still work to be done, but it looks playable.
At the very least, i am going to use its ship name generator tables for Death in Space.
This weekend, I tried watching #AlienRomulus. I liked the actors, especially David Jonsson's Andy and Cailee Spaeny's Rain.
The premise of the film has a group of kids try to escape from their impressively depicted corporate hellhole of a planet using an old spaceship. Fun premise!
But then the #alien appeared and I remembered: "Oh yeah. I've already seen this movie... SEVEN. TIMES." and I turned it off. #movies
Maybe I should turn this premise into a #ttrpg adventure for #mothership?

We do pretty badly, not helped by me failing every single roll I made on the entire mission. But another saboteur inadvertently helps us and we manage to get the job done and take out the rocket. But then we don't stand far enough away and it, with a 1 in 4 chance, falls on us. TPK, fittingly.
There aren't enough funnel adventures out there for #ttrpg, especially not enough for #mothership
Emergence, my new project, launches soon for #ZineMonth and #ZineQuest

@lairofsecrets Saving this tidbit for a #Mothership scenario...
Another couple of patches for my Mothership inspired Death in Space patches:
* “Gravity assist: Breaking speed records since 1974”
* (Grim Reaper welding) “Check those welds!”
* “This patch is my Bridge Jump malfunction.”
* (Bowl of ramen noodles)
* “Important decisions offloaded to AI”
* “When in doubt... Duct Tape!”
* (CRT with a smiley face in green) “Don’t Like AI? Bridge Jump without one.”
* “Physics is gonna be the death of me”
Here are a couple of the patches for my Mothership inspired Death in Space patches:
* "Spaghettification's on the menu"
* (5% oxygen level left indicator)
* “Did you close the airlock?”
* What doesn’t kill you mutates and tries again”
* (CRT monitor displaying static) “Listen to the Void”
* (Hub spaceship in a bottle)
* “Save the Space Whales!”
* (Pipe organ) “donor”
* “I stared into the Void and it stared back”
* “Solid Welds Save Lives!”
I started reading through the Death in Space RPG last night and I really like it. With a few short paragraphs and some well chosen gear and mechanics, it does a good of setting the tone for what it is going for.
One thing that I like from the Mothership rpg is the d100 table of patches you can give characters.
Inspired, I have started my own d100 table for patches for Death in Space. It's a lot of fun.

One of players is lurgied up so another stepped in with a playtest of a scenario he's written. We're undercover on a sabotage mission. It's pretty tense.
Finally received Ruination Pilgrimage in physical format. I am really looking forward to play it with my enthusiastic #mothership crew. I really like the Panic system.
Mothership virtual table top in the Mothership app. I didn't know about this. Video is a bit of a how to. #mothership #ttrpg https://youtu.be/9Slc2P8esu0?si=z9FfQiIYiko5aw-P
