Soon, as devboard testing allows to define the prototype, details about: RAM, storage, battery, CPU, communications... and kill-switches, of course.

Two USB-C ports on the Liberux NEXX: more possibilities, more freedom.
The #LiberuxNEXX will have two USB-C ports: one at the bottom and one on the side. Why?
Extended connectivity: charge while using a peripheral or connect multiple accessories.
Auxiliary add-ons: imagine a dock, an extra battery, or a physical keyboard.
Flexibility: no matter how you use it, you'll always have an accessible port.
What would you like to connect to the NEXX? We're listening!
I'm waiting for a #linuxphone that comes with a universal software defined radio peripherial instead of a closed LTE/4G modem and the calling, texting and networking is just realized on the SDR module.
We can keep discussing about kernels, drivers and which are "true" Linux phones and which are not, or we can focus on getting as many people on the FOSS phone ecosystem and improving the rather sorry state of so many applications, and I would VERY much prefer the latter
The Liberux NEXX will include 3 physical kill-switches for total privacy:
Microphone + Cameras
Wi-Fi + Bluetooth
Communications Module
OFF → all other sensors are also disabled
This was the original design… but we're now considering the possibility of one more switch: , a slider integrated into the camera’s shutter button, to separate cameras and microphone. What do you think about it?
FuriPhone FLX1: A Debian-powered smartphone
—The Register
「 The FLX1 from FuriLabs is a Debian-based smartphone. It runs GNOME and the Phosh shell on top of a Debian-based Arm64 userland derived from the future Debian "Trixie," and the user-facing stack is pure FOSS with the GNOME project's mobile shell and Mozilla Firefox as your browser 」
The Liberux Nexx (https://liberux.net/) seems like it could be the #LinuxPhone I've been waiting for (assuming, RK3588s does not burn through that battery in minutes ;-) )
You can follow them @Liberux
(Thanks @awai for the hint!)
This is a nice post from Reddit...
I have been daily driving a Linux smartphone for 18 months, AMA
I started out with a Pinephone Pro and Mobian but currently daily a Nord N10 5G (billie!) running ubports/Ubuntu Touch. It's a halium device, which I've found to be the best balance of kernel tuning for battery life and usability while letting me have full Linux on top.
Mecha Comet - Modular Linux Handheld Computer

Je crois que j'ai enfin trouvé mon futur smartphone. En espèrant que ce projet décole. Domage que l'écran soit petit.
The Comet is a handheld Linux computer that brings extensibility in hardware and software adapting to your needs.
The Comet runs on Mechanix OS based on Debian, which means all 60,000+ packages in the Debian repos work out of the box.
Plus, you are free to port any distro you like. The Mechanix Shell is built in rust and supports GPU rendering on Wayland.

@Sarahw exactly! that's why i use a #pinephone with #postmarketOS and #sxmo! (not saying everyone should do like me, i am just exploring path for my personal freedom to help make it viable for others...). #linuxphone
yet using no such device at all is also a valid option...
One of my main gripes with #LinuxOnMobile has always been On-Screen Keyboards. phosh-osk-stub finally seems to do everything I want. It autocompletes words and has keyboard layouts that don't force you to switch through too many pages, offering long-presses instead.
@furilabs plans to enable it on the #FLX1 by default. To enable it in the meantime:
1. sudo apt-get install phosh-osk-stub
2. sudo update-alternatives --config Phosh-OSK
3. Choose option "2"
4. Reboot
Logical pencilmark errors in #PuMoKu :D
(A logical pencilmark error is that a pencilmark is set for a digit that is present in either of the cells houses.)
The entire cell is highlighted, so you are still required to look around and figure out which mark causes the error. Displaying the error in the culprit pencilmark only is easy to do - do you think I should make that possible, or even default for displaying such errors?

What is that? A #linuxphone or it's a #scam ?

IT WORKED - finally I'M IN!!!!
Installing the prebuilt images with fastboot failed, but resorting to pmbootstrap worked - so now I have a #oneplus6T phone with #postmarketos and #plasmamobile 6 on it.
I did order a simcard for it, but I haven't gotten that yet, so testing calls and sms must wait a few days.
How ever lots of things works - I can browse the internet with angelfish, look at photos, connect to bluetooth devices, record sound, play music, use KDE Connect, set alarms and use timers, view PDFs, use the shell and more ...
i can't use #tokodon (it freezes when trying to log in), so this is posted from my laptop, and my #nextcloud account configured in the plasmamobile settings does not work - no contacts or calendar events that way, or browsing files for that matter. #Okular shows a meaningful error message regarding files: webdavs:// fails. Not sure why #akonadi fails.
#fossphone #linuxphone - the future looks bright :)
The "F(x)tec PRO¹" looks like the smartphone I miss the most: "HTC Desire Z" From their site it seems fxtec is shipping the pro1 in 10-12 weeks. LinageOS and Ubuntu support, so probably not a phone for the mass market, but I for sure know i want one and Linux is absolutely a big +! #Freedom #LinuxPhone #LineageOS
