#Fediverse, I need your help again!
tl; dr: I need a font maker software!

I'd like to convert my handwriting into a font for my research output, as I'd like to maintain my personal handwriting in my sketchnotes but I'd like the written notes to be text.
I'm already very familiar with vector graphics and lettering but never made a font so would love an open source/free font design software to start.

I really like the proposed asterism symbol, ⁂, U+2042 to represent the Fediverse. “In astronomy, it refers to groups of stars in the sky, akin to constellations.”

I might just add it to my fonts, (and perhaps boot the bitcoin, ₿, U+20BF, while I'm at it) Now to see whether I like hexacles (the bestagons) or pentacles..

🎸🤘 Hexcess began as a sketch for a sci-fi heavy metal band logo. It’s an experiment using hexagons and the novel forms built from them to construct a high-contrast, condensed blackletter on a grid. In the grand tradition of heavy metal logos, readability wasn’t a high priority but fun certainly was. Use it for posters, album covers, book titles, zines, and legal fine print. 🥴

Does anyone know of a great *cursive* monospace font?

I'm using Victor Mono Italic (patched with Nerdfonts) and it's almost what I want, but still draws distinct letter forms rather than joining ones.

(Yes, I sometimes write in cursive, but I'm still in vim, because my brain is monospace.)
