Dieser Tage merkt wohl jeder, dass wir nun endlich die digitale #Souveränität #Europas herstellen müssen statt nur davon zu sprechen.
Der nächste logische Schritt ist dann übrigens einen Account bei #Mastodon einzurichten, wofür der vormalige @bfdi @ulrichkelber in weiser Voraussicht die Instanz social.bund.de eingerichtet hat.
Der „Dienstherr“ @bmi zeigt hier schon seit Jahren wie man’s richtig macht.

ZenodoPolitical Biases on X before the 2025 German Federal ElectionThis study examines whether German X users would see politically balanced news feeds if they followed comparable leading politicians from each federal parliamentary party of Germany. We address this question using an algorithmic audit tool and all publicly available posts published by 436 German politicians on X. We find that the default feed of X showed more content from far-right AfD than from other political parties. We analyze potential factors influencing feed content and the resulting political non-representativeness of X. Our findings suggest that engagement measures and unknown factors related to party affiliation contribute to the overrepresentation of extremes of the German political party spectrum in the default algorithmic feed of X.

One month after the creation of an open letter to all European politicians and leaders to abandon X/Twitter, here are some numbers so far

- 1920 signatures in support of the letter
- 1.9k page views on the website / 1k unique views in 3 weeks
- Letter translated into 14 languages (German, French, Portuguese and Polish proofread)
- We've joined a collective that will launch a campaign next week, during the AI Summit, in Paris

On social media, in 3 weeks
- 244 followers on Mastodon
- 64 followers on Pixelfed
- 310 followers on Bluesky

Next steps
- Facilitate people to contact their representatives
- Find a reliable NGO to host the petition to facilitate the collection of signatures in person.
- Find collaborators for the social media, website and media creation
- Write emails to key politicians in EU
